In its final shows of the season, the Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati shines the spotlight on works by two Cincinnati natives.

Mauritius, by Pulitzer Prize-nominated playwright Theresa Rebeck, runs through April 5.  Mauritius follows the story of a young woman who unknowingly discovers a rare stamp in her dead mother’s inheritance.

Then, the Ensemble produces Don’t Make Me Pull This Show Over: Dispatches From the Frontlines of Parenting, written in part by University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music graduate Richard Oberacker. Don’t Make Me Pull This Show Over opens April 29.

Theater-goers might recognize the playwrights’ names from their past works. Rebeck wrote Bad Dates, which was produced at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park during its 2004-2005 season. Oberacker’s musical Ace celebrated its world premiere at the Playhouse during its 2006-2007 season.
