Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is a world-class pediatric hospital, drawing patients from all over the globe. Incorporated in 1883, the hospital now employs more than 15,000, making it Ohio’s 12th-largest employer. The hospital garners more than $2.2 billion in annual revenue, and—among pediatric institutions—it is the third-highest recipient of research grants from the National Institutes of Health (more than $100 million a year). In fiscal year 2015, the center put up impressive numbers.
