Want to improve your business but need new ideas to ignite your efforts?

Gain valuable insight into how four of this year's MANNY Award-winning companies achieved their success as they engage in a roundtable discussion on their best practices. Guests will have the opportunity to interact with the speakers to ask questions on the specifics of their companies' journeys to success.

Panelists include Char Kemp (Ghent Manufacturing), Chris Cole (Intelligrated), Steve Melink (Melink Corporation) and Mark Anderson (Pro Mach). Jim Russell of US Bank will be a panelist, and Grant Thornton will be the moderator.

InnerCircles for Women Networking Lunch: Building Your Own Board of Directors
InnerCircles for Women hosts lunches to encourage networking among businesswomen while giving them the tools to succeed.

This month, the seminar on August 25 asks attendees: Do you have a board of directors? According to InnerCircles, all successful companies do. Susan Smyth of Smyth Management Resources will address the group on why this is important and how to develop one.

The event will give women useful business connections and resources. It is sponsored by Life Success Seminars, Inc. and will be held at the West Chester Conference Center (9248 Princeton Glendale Road, West Chester) from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.

Health Care Series with Mike McCallister
In his 10-year career as the president/CEO of Humana, Mike McCallister transformed the company into an industry leader in consumerism. Now the fourth-largest publicly-traded health benefits company, Humana has 10 million health plan users.

On August 3, McCallister will be at the Xavier University Cintas Center (1624 Herald Ave., Cincinnati) as part of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber's Health Care Series. He will offer insight on the current state of health care, backed by his valuable experience in the industry.

Topics will include: How health care affects companies' bottom lines; cost control and consumer engagement; and how the U.S. can create a real system of health.

Continental breakfast is included. Registration will be held from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m., and the presentation will be from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. A question-and-answer session follows the presentation.
